The SharePoint team is working hard to integrate into Visual Studio 2008 but not as hard as they try for Visual Studio 2010. They have recently released a new version of their Visual Studio Extensions with some improvements such as x64 platform support, Additional menu commands to recycle application pools, attach to application pools for debugging and lots of others. You can get the preview and the related documentation from Microsoft Connect – the link open to everyone. Personally, I still think Visual Studio 2005 extensions are much better and can’t wait for Visual Studio 2010. The 2008 release didn’t impress me much yet.
