Microsoft released the long awaited SQL Server 2008 to manufacturing last Wednesday followed today by .NET 3.5 SP1, Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and TFS 2008 SP1. These are not simple bug fixes but they include a lot of enhancements like IDE responsiveness, JavaScript intellisense, REST services for WCF and lots of other enhancements and features. SQL 2008 is available in ISO format to download, which includes all the flavours of the product for the x86 x64 and ia64 platforms. You can go ahead with a trial installation and upgrade later on or enter a product key during setup for the full version. The ISO and the above service packs are all available for download from the Microsoft Download Center.
